Why am I asking you these questions?
People wanted to know more about the Chef.

Okay. Tell us a little bit about yourself.
Sure – I often go by the nickname Sparky. I am 26-years-old, I have found a man who was crazy enough to marry me, and we have a 14-month-old daughter. I am a stay-at-home mom and a wedding photographer.

Great. Why did you build this website?
Well, after one particularly busy summer, I decided to streamline my workflow. I ended up with a pile of presets and actions. Then, while helping a friend who was just starting out, she mentioned she really liked a certan preset. So I said “Would you like me to send it to you?” Then it hit me – maybe more than just me and her could benefit from what I have developed.

What do you use most in Lightroom?
The adjustment brushes. I always use adjustment brushes.

Do you eat your fruits and vegetables?
Yes, I love fresh fruit and veggies. My current go-to snack is sugar snap peas.

Why “the red kitchen”?
In real life, I have a red kitchen. Well, sort of. I have a kitchen that is all black, white and red. All my countertop appliances are red, and we even painted our fridge red. Also, after a dismal day of bridesmaid-dress-shopping with a bridesmaid who is a size 0, I started a diet. I thought maybe naming my stuff after food would help me not want to eat so much junk and lose weight.

Did it help?
No. But it didn’t hurt, either.

What is your favourite lens?
That’s like asking which of your children you love more. But – if pressed – I would have to say the 70-200mm F2.8.

Do you have any pets?
Yes, I have 2 dogs and a cat. One dog is really smart and stubborn, the other one is really stupid but listens well. The cat and I have a love-hate relationship, but I can say that she does her job well, which is pest control.

How many hats do you own?
2 winter hats, a Calgary Flames baseball cap, and a goofy fleece hat that looks like a fish eating my head that I received 8 years ago for Christmas.

What is your favourite piece of clothing?
My Miikka Kiprusoff Calgary Flames jersey.

What did you want to be when you were 5 years old?
I was going to grow up and be my sister’s maid.

What’s your favourite TV show?
Easy. Big Bang Theory. Well,.no – New Girl. No, Big Bang Theory. Well… Well, I love them both.

Is your favourite colour red?
No, it’s green.
